With musicians it's like with those sailors having salt in their blood. Once you have become a musician you can't ever stop being one. Jim Reid (The Jesus & Mary Chain)

"Producing for me is only about making the band more aware of themselves, of the possibilities within each of us to create something magical. Which means for those few short moments when the red light is on, going to a place you may not have been before. I don't think it's good enough to record a good version of your demo. I think it has to blow it out the water. If not, you may as well use the demo. I am not really one for pontificating about what I want to do with this song, and I won't work with any band who isn't going to put in as much effort as I am. A few months out of my life is a lot to give up and if it isn't a memorable few months then we should all stay home and watch Lost."
