Ryan Hadlock

Ryan is an outstandingly talented and versatile producer/arranger/mixer. Becoming known in recent times after producing The Gossip's hit album 'Standing In The Way Of Control', he has worked with some amazing and cult artists: Blonde Redhead, Afghan Whigs, Stephen Malkmus, Black Heart Procession and The Strokes to name but a few....

Spending the majority of time in his hometown of Seattle and working out of the infamous Bearcreek studio where he grew up (see studio page for info), Ryan was hanging out in the studio from the age of 2 and started assisting on sessions and producing from an early age! He also went on to play in various bands before moving back to producing full time. Ryan doesn't just work in the US however and is always willing to travel wherever the next project takes him.

The recently released lush, sweeping and orchestral album 'Lustre' that Ryan produced with Ed Harcourt and the beautiful second Johnny Flynn album 'Been Listening' have both been gathering fantastic reviews and radio play. Q said of the JF album 'Oceans of depth... A commanding performance' and The Guardian on 'Lustre' 'These full-figured songs have ambitiously big arrangements that reference Phil Spector and a sliver of Roy Orbison's stately melancholy'. Ryan is currently producing US band Pepper Rabbit recently signed to Kanine Records.
